Our Single Harvest Approach
We use an approach we call “Single Harvest.” This means we use only USDA-organic hemp plants that have been grown together simultaneously. These plants are harvested all at once, which is why we call it a “single harvest” approach. (It isn’t uncommon for hemp to be grown and harvested in various locations and at various times, with a finished product made from dozens of different plants… which results in a product with wild variability.) Our “Single Harvest” approach allows for the final product to be consistent in quality.
A helpful analogy is ground beef. Most supermarket beef is made from dozens, if not hundreds of different cows (all in a single pound of ground chuck). This is why there are frequent re-calls on ground beef. When the final product comes from so many sources, it’s impossible to tell which cow was infected and where it came from… so they end up throwing all of it out. Unfortunately, this approach has become the standard for much of manufacturing and production, in general.
Compare that supermarket beef to a pound you’d purchase from a local butcher, where the cows are carefully raised and cared for. Not only would it make it easier to tell which cow affected which product, but the overall quality of the product is more consistent, reliable, and in the hands of the farmer and butcher. (Instead of dozens or hundreds of cows being combined into one single product.) That pound of hamburger only has one cow in it. By carefully raising each cow the correct way, you receive better, more consistent quality, while also limiting the risk of contaminating the product, or reducing its overall purity.
It’s not all too different with hemp! It’s not uncommon for a single CBD tincture (from another company) to be sourced from dozens if not hundreds of different hemp plants, raised in different locations, in different conditions, all under the different care of different farmers. The result is a product that lacks purity, by definition. Not only that, but by sourcing cannabinoids from numerous harvests of who knows how many hemp plants, rather than just one, the final product lacks consistency in its potency. It’s impossible to have a consistently pure and potent final product, when its components vary so significantly, without any real standard being maintained.
The quality of cannabinoids is determined by the quality of the plant at its source. Each plant can produce an array of cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, Delta 9, etc. Many believe that the “entourage effect” of Full-Spectrum is enhanced when all the cannabinoids are sourced singularly from the same harvest and same strains of hemp.
The “entourage effect” is the interaction that takes place between hemp’s 120+ phytocannabinoids and terpenes. It’s kinda like a plant family reunion. Research shows that the anti-inflammatory effect of combined cannabinoids and terpenes far exceeds that of a single, isolated cannabinoid. When combined, they amplify the overall effect, giving you the experience of the awesome healing synergy of hemp. The “entourage effect” of our Full-Spectrum hemp products maximize the health benefits and anti-inflammatory effect you receive!
